MSP survey results: NordPass earns a superb 4.5/5 rating

In December 2024, we conducted a customer satisfaction survey with nearly 100 of our managed service provider (MSP) partners. They evaluated NordPass based on its features, effectiveness, ease of use, onboarding process, and overall experience. Let’s take a closer look at the results.

  • MSPs with up to 20 customers rated their overall satisfaction with NordPass at 4.5 out of 5.

  • 91% of respondents said that the onboarding process was either “very easy” or “somewhat easy.”

Target group

For this initiative, we gathered insights from exactly 86 MSP partners, with the majority based in Europe (42%) and North America (47%). The participating MSPs manage customer organizations across a broad range of industries, including administrative services, accounting, automotive, construction, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, software, and IT services. Nearly half (49%) of surveyed MSPs manage between 1 and 20 organizations, while 29% handle 21 to 50. Another 11% oversee 51 to 100, and 10% manage more than 100.

When evaluating how satisfied they are with NordPass, MSPs with up to 20 customers gave it a score of 4.5 out of 5!

All survey participants rated their satisfaction with NordPass at a solid 4.3 out of 5, proving that it stands out among our MSP audience for its overall effectiveness and ease of use.

When asked how using NordPass has impacted their business, most respondents shared multiple benefits, with 5 standing out as key:

  • Efficient management of organizations and licenses (41%)

  • Helps educate customers on cybersecurity (38%)

  • Allows to better address customer needs (31%)

  • Increased customer trust (30%)

  • Ensuring compliance and certifications (29%)

This shows that NordPass plays a key role in simplifying MSPs' daily tasks, helping them meet client needs, and explaining why cybersecurity should always be a top priority.

Most valuable features

Another question we asked our MSP partners focused on the NordPass features they find most essential for their daily operations. With the option to select up to 4, most responders highlighted these 5 features:

  • MSP user management (51%)

  • Password Health overview for managed organizations (48%)

  • Multi-tenant Admin Panel (45%)

  • Data Breach Scanner for managed organizations (35%)

  • NordPass Authenticator (35%)

With MSPs managing around 100 customers on average—each ranging from 1 to 150 employees—it’s no surprise that NordPass features designed for easy customer management and quick security checks are among their favorites. These tools help MSPs streamline daily operations and ensure every client gets the protection they need.

Other mentioned benefits included SSO and User Provisioning for managed organizations (24%), along with the ease of importing passwords from different password managers.

The onboarding process

Another question we asked the participants was whether their onboarding with the NordPass MSP Admin Panel was smooth or challenging. An impressive 91% said it was either “very easy” or “somewhat easy,” showing that most had little trouble with the process.

We also asked our MSP partners about their experience onboarding their customers to NordPass. In this case, 84% of respondents said it was either “very easy” (39%) or “somewhat easy” (45%).

Since MSPs are all about seamlessly providing cybersecurity services, the ability to get clients up and running with NordPass quickly is a major advantage. The Onboarding Process

We also asked participants about their customers' experience with NordPass and what they hope to achieve by using it as their password manager. With the option to select up to 3 answers, the top responses were pretty clear: the customers want to encrypt and securely store their company data (73%), securely share company credentials (49%), and be able to educate employees on the best cybersecurity practices (47%). Compliance with standards, centralized access management, and monitoring company security also came up as popular answers.

Biggest challenges for MSPs

Finally, we asked the participants to share what they believe are the biggest cybersecurity challenges that MSPs need to focus on, whether through strategy or tools like NordPass. When given the choice of 3 options, the biggest challenge was staying on top of cybersecurity requirements, with 50% selecting it. This was closely followed by dealing with a variety of tools/admin panel fatigue at 42%, and maintaining business efficiency and optimizing internal processes at 34%.

With these challenges in mind, it’s easy to see why it’s crucial for MSPs to find the right cybersecurity solutions, like NordPass, and use them in their day-to-day operations.
